Bordergrove
Georgia (Mia) was recently purchased from Lorna McFayden in Coldstream. This striking yearling is
bred in the purple with famous names on both sides.
She has excellent conformation with plenty of bone,
athletic and elastic paces with a heart-stopping
trot and well-balanced walk and canter, and a very
sweet, laid back temperament.
Her sire, Guido, is descended from
the great Hanovarian stallion, Lugano, who sired
world-class horses such as Lugano Van La Roche (Darco’s
sire) and Egano, who was a Dutch gold-medal horse
ridden by Jos Lansink, to name a couple.
Jennie Lauriston-Clarke bred Mia’s
dam, Dainty Diva, at the Catherston Stud. Her sire,
Dutch Gold is by Dutch Courage, the foundation
stallion of Catherston Stud, who has been one of the
most influential warmblood sires of successful
competition horses in the UK. His stock have
excelled in every sphere, and his breeding lines are
keenly sought after as his stock have proved to be
forward thinking, intelligent and athletic
performers.
Mia will go forward for grading
in the future, and will be used as a broodmare for
the stud. |
