Carnaval Empress (Gem) is by the world champion Carnaval Drum.
Her dam was not papered but was a successful BSJA pony. Gem was
bought from Andrew Bonnelli-Baird in Fife, and has successfully
competed in BSJA up to Foxhunter level, Riding Club Open level,
and showing classes.
This beautiful mare has excellent conformation, balanced
floating paces, and a careful, scopey jump. She has a wonderful
temperament and is very easy to do. She is an outstanding
mother and produces confident, friendly offspring.
PROGENY:
In
2003 Gem was put in foal to Clare and John Whitaker’s
international show jumper, Randi (Ramzes III). She produced a
fantastic chestnut colt - Elvingston Paper Tiger (pictured
below). Tiger was sold last year and had great success in 2007
and in the BEF Futurity Awards.
In 2006 Gem
produced an exquisite chestnut filly by Tadmus (Calvados x
Concorde). Bellissima
will be
registered with the KWPN and be retained by Elvingston Stud.
