Danse Rouge (Doodle) is a substantial mare with
outstanding fluid movement and a particularly good
trot with huge elasticity and balance. Doodle
competed up to Advanced Medium dressage, even being
used in demonstrations by International Olympic
Dressage rider Carl Hester. Doodle sustained a
ligament injury in the field and has been retired
from her ridden career.
Her sire Catherston Dance in the Dark, by the great
Dutch Courage, stands at Glenwood Stud in
Northumberland and has successfully competed in
eventing, showjumping and showing. He is full
brother to Catherston Dancing Storm, an advanced
eventer who qualified for Badminton. He is also
half brother to Catherston Dazzler, Catherston
Decipher & Catherston Dauntless to name a few.
Doodle has certainly inherited his amazing ability,
conformation and easy temperament. For further
