Dandy is a beautiful Highland cross Thoroughbred
mare with good conformation, paces & a bold, scopey
jump. Dandy has been with us for 16 years and is a
very much-loved member of the family. I competed
Dandy in Pony Club, Riding Club and local shows over
a number of years. She was a true allrounder and
was successful in many different disciplines. She
would produce a lovely dressage test and always
placed in the first 3. She was very good at
showjumping, competing at Open level and very fast
against the clock. She really loved cross-country
and won the local ‘Powercourse’ event on several
occasions.
Dandy produced a fantastic filly foal in 2003,
Elvingston Kashmir by Diamond White, a leopard-spot
appaloosa ISH stallion. Dandy was a fantastic
mother, and passed on her lovely temperament and
easy-going attitude to Kashmir.
Kashmir was a joy to have around and a dream to
break – I loved riding her! She has been sold to a
lovely family in Yorkshire for Pony Club activities,
and we are thrilled to hear she is doing extremely
well.
Dandy is a lovely character with great ability – a
sort very hard to find. She will be put to Aries
later this year, and should produce a talented
riding-type foal with outstanding temperament and
capability to excel in any sphere. |
